We loved our dinner. The food was amazing. I had the tlayudas and my husband the fish tacos. The food was a little bit spicy, so we ended with the mango chamoyada to balance the heat. The service was outstanding, and our waiter was very attentive. We will be back.
Can't say enough about this place. 💫
Food 10/10
Ambience 10/10
Service 10/10
I've been coming here for years and have yet to get a dish I didn't like.
So sad to find out they removed the seafood cocktail from the menu, but the new flavors were just as tasty.
Bartenders & servers are cute.
And management is always around to check on service.
What a gem. 💎
Good food great service. The place has limited but great food options, the waiter was amazing at explaining dishes and recommendations. The place has a great ambiance. If you like Mexican food are are willing to spend a little for the experience, I would recommend this is the place. Guacamole was amazing. Restrooms were clean.
Food: 4.5/5
Service: 5/5
Ambiance: 5/5
Absolutely delicious Mexican fare! They have super creative twists on classic drinks, like a carrot ginger margarita. The tacos were all to die for. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I felt the staff at the front were a touch snarky when I came in and didn’t have a reservation. But the service and food was outstanding beyond that!
Borderline 4 star - but not really there yet.
I'll start with the ambiance. FANTASTIC! Reminds you of Mexico City, the restaurant is named after a neighborhood in Mexico City so it's good that it matches that vibe. The outdoor seating is great and extremely cute - though you are looking at a parking garage, so it's slightly weird.
The service was decent, slightly slow, the hostesses were actually not that great considering we had a reservation and it was a Tuesday night. Daniel (manager of some sort) was amazing, highly recommend him, super nice guy!
Drinks - this was the first let down of the night. They just changed their menu so maybe they're working out kinks, but I didn't LOVE any of the cocktails. The Catorce with mezcal instead of the normal tequila was great, but that was a requested switch not on the menu. In fact, all their cocktails were much sweeter than necessary. The mezcal margarita on the menu was good, but again when you asked for spicy, it wasn't quite there.
Food - this was hit or miss. The guac and tlayuda was fantastic, but then they couldn't be super accommodating for vegetarians. There was a quesadilla on the menu and the ask was for some veggies or beans inside of it instead of brisket, but the kitchen couldn't do that (it's a quesadilla) - so legitimately it came out with a superrrrr thin layer of cheese. The enchiladas suizas were good and so was the taco pibil but portion size was smaller than you love. The hurrache was really meh.
Finally - we were celebrating a birthday. We had tried to call to see if they would allow us to bring our own cake, no one answered. So we did, the server told us there was a $4 dollar plating fee for outside desserts PER guest. Now I get, a flat fee or an upcharge, but there was 11 of us. So 44 dollars is a little ridiculous especially considering how much food and alcohol we ordered through the night. Daniel was great and waived it, but still, a weird/over the top rule.
I'd suggest coming here for the margaritas and appetizers (tlayuda) and enjoying their space. I wouldn't consider it a great dinner spot just yet, and not really awesome for groups.
Great place for drinks and apps (especially at happy hour)! I got a margarita with tequila and was very happy with it. We also shared chips and guac and salsa which was also great. Great vibes and comfortable seating. Definitely recommend for an evening outing for drinks to hang out with friends and family.
Staying at Hilton Motto and had $15/night credit to spend here or a cafe. Dropped in during happy hour.
Drinks are chill and food are super cheap. Chicken wing is a bit over salty to me but cannot complain for $5. Bar staffs are very chill, friendly, and professional.
1 star off: Happy hour guests can only stay around the bar table. Each person can use at most 1 hotel credit card(max $15). I was very confused about where to get seated, stood there wandering around for a long time without any greetings nor menu offered. Asked a staff but she seems very uninterested to answer or help since I want the happy hour menu???
Spectacular modern Mexican restaurant and lounge. The dishes are really tasty and fresh, the vibe is trendy, special occasion and birthday party.
Prices are upscale but the restaurant delivers. I had the fluke and shrimp ceviche as appetizer and we had guacamole for the table. My main course was the steak. All were excellent. The chile renello vegetarian dish was prepared well also.
First visit to this restaurant, definitely not the last. Highly recommended.
